What would make the PERFECT MMORPG?

Today there are way too many freaking MMORPG's in our world. There are a lot of shitty ones and only a few good ones. As a long time game player and my main genre being RPG's I have come to be greatly disappointed with almost everything as of late concerning not only MMO's but console RPG's aswell. I have played lots of RPG's on every console and online and have only found a few that I actually truly believe got the system right. From having the perfect combat system that kept the player feeling involved, the game also has to have a fairly good story, doesn't have to be amazing, but fairly good will suffice. And lastly it has to make you feel like theres a reason to continue playing. That point isn't really being driven home in today's MMO's.

The quests in MMO's today are mundane and stupid and the same thing over and over again. When I play them the quests are usually what drive me away from the game. I personally am really annoyed at having to kill 5 brown foxes or collect 10 small silver gems or get 15 orange mushroom caps. Unless you make fox fur rugs, or your a jeweler, or some one that cooks with mushy caps you wouldn't be doing this. Especially if there was a lady or something in danger. All mmo's today lack story and direction. Lunia has a story I think. I played it for about 45 mins and got super bored of it because I didn't like it much and plus i was really into Sword of the New World. Without an actual story why would a person want to play the game? Oh right we're here for the multiplayer aspect. Or are we? How many people here have actually played a game just to make friends? Ok maybe ten. Now how many people are here because they want to play a video game? Oh like the rest of you (I'm assuming it'll be more than 10). How many people wish that MMO's played more like actually rpg's?

Especially the F2P ones. The developers only make money off the cash shop. SO since you the only reason you draw people to the game is because you're free, than your game should be better than those that aren't free. Give your game a long nice story with good character build up and realistic exp levels. Don't make a game that's just some stupid scavenger hunt with no real reward. And when you make your story, make it so good that people will wanna come back. Like how many here still play the old Final Fantasy games? or the old Zelda games? or the old Mana games. ME ME ME and I'm sure a lot of people out there too. And the old ones didn't even look that good, with the exception of a few. I still play the original NES FF's and those looked bad and had a cheesy story but they were fun and did everything right. Oh and also, they ended at one point, you didn't level up to a million and kill the hardest bad guys in one hit.
